Transfer Station

Tuesday* – Friday:
8:00 a.m. – 2:30 p.m.

Saturday:
8:00 a.m. – 2:30 p.m.

*Holiday’s observed on Tuesday’s

You must have a permit to use the Transfer Station & Recycling Center.
A sticker is required for any residential vehicle delivering solid waste, bulky waste, or recyclables to the Weston Transfer Station.

For those on Elderly Tax Relief, discounted stickers may be purchased in person at the Tax Collector’s Office in Town Hall.

 

Recyclables
Items which MUST BE RECYCLED include glass, newspapers, metals,  textiles, plastics, cardboard, storage batteries, waste oil, and scrap metal. Recyclables may be deposited in containers at the Weston Transfer Station without charge. Click here to view the “What’s In/What’s Out” Guide.

 

Weston hopes these regulations will help achieve its goal of reducing solid waste by at least 25%, recycling to reduce pollution and conserve resources, and handling hazardous waste to preserve the town’s high water quality.

 

Recycling:

  • Plastic Bags and film DO NOT go in single stream recycling.
  • Single stream recycling should be loose and NOT bagged, bundled, boxed or shredded.
  • Styrofoam is OUT and should go in household trash.
  • Black plastics are OUT and should go in household trash.

 

Penalties
Residents who don’t follow town regulations outlined in this flyer may be fined. For residents, the fine is $100 per violation. Persistent violations may result in the suspension of Weston Transfer Station privileges.

Permit:
Required
Free to every resident.
A sticker is issued with the motor vehicle tax bill every June, and is valid for 1 year.

If you need more than one sticker, or if you are a new resident, please call or visit the Selectman’s Office at Town Hall. You will need a copy of your car registration and proof of residency.
Vehicle stickers also allow residents the use of parking areas to town parks.

The Transfer Station observes the following holidays and is closed: 
Presidents’ Day, Good Friday, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Last regularly scheduled day before Labor Day, Labor Day, Martin Luther King’s Birthday, Veteran’s Day, Thanksgiving Day, Day after Thanksgiving, Last regularly scheduled day before Christmas, Christmas Day, Last regularly scheduled day before New Year’s Day, and New Year’s Day
