Transfer Station

Location:
Maple Street (Route 341 East) Kent

Hours:
Saturday and Sunday
8:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.

You must have a permit to use the Transfer Station.
Permits are valid for fiscal year July 1st –  June 30th
The permit tag must hang on the vehicle’s rear-view mirror and be visible by the station attendant.

One permit issued per household. Sharing of permits is not allowed. There is a $25 fee to replace lost or damaged tags.

There are additional fees for bulky waste (see tabs below). The attendant shall have final decision on pricing.

Every household must recycle.

  • Plastic Bags and film DO NOT go in single stream recycling.
  • Single stream recycling should be loose and NOT bagged, bundled, boxed or shredded.
  • Styrofoam is OUT and should go in household trash.
  • Black plastics are OUT and should go in household trash.

The Transfer Station observes the following holidays and is closed: 
New Year’s Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day.
