HRRA has dual stream (trash and recycling) as well as recycling only collection bins available to any municipality in the state for use at local events and are not limited to HRRA towns. Please review the information below on how to borrow the collection bins.
If a town or organization is interested in borrowing the collection bins for an event please reach out to HRRA at education@hrra.org.
How Do I Borrow Bins For An Event?
Reach out to HRRA at education@hrra.org with the following information:
- Date of event
- Requested number of collection bins* (40 available bins)
HRRA will then let you know if bins are available for your events and how to proceed.
*HRRA will ONLY provide recycling only collection bins for events if organizers can verify and ensure separate garbage collection bins are available to be placed next to each borrowed HRRA recycling collection bin.
Borrowing Organization Responsibilities
Borrowing Organizations are responsible for the following:
- Pick-up and drop-off of bins before and after special event.
- Maintain cleanliness of receptacles. Receptacle frames and covers should be washed or wiped down after every use.
- Return any unused bags provided by HRRA.
- Report any damaged receptacles to HRRA at education@hrra.org.
- Make precautions to ensure lids and frames are used appropriately and treated with care to prevent damage.
- Secure the receptacles on windy days if necessary. Options for stabilizing frames include using tent stakes, bricks, sand bags, bundling containers together, or other provisions provided they do not damage the receptacle.
- The bins may not be modified, loaned or transferred to a third party without the consent of HRRA.
